My name is Jack Shane, and I am currently a PhD student in Economics at Stanford University working with Arun Chandrasekhar. Previously, I served as a predoctoral research assistant to Grant Miller at Stanford University's Department of Health Policy, researching labor trafficking.

I graduated cum laude from Bowdoin College in 2022 with a double major in Economics (with high honors) and Mathematics.

My main research interests are in development and labor economics, as well as applied microeconomic techniques. I also love learning about the history of economic thought. 

In my free time, I love tending to my garden, cats, hiking, cooking, golfing, listening to folk music, and consistently being disappointed as a Los Angeles Angels fan.
